Social media reel for Parkside Players's production of "Hay Fever"

This follows the popular trend of Person 1 saying "I hope she (she being singer Chappell Roan) plays "HOT TO GO!" (song by Chappell Roan)

Person 2 says in confusion "This is literally (something that is not at all a Chappell Roan concert)" in this video, Person 2 says "This is literally Noel Coward's "Hay Fever" at Parkside Players" then it cuts to the actors of Hay Fever doing the HOT TO GO dance on stage.

This is the popular "shake my hand in character" challenge, where actors from the production of Hay Fever shake the cameraperson's hand as if they are in character. In this video, only the "Bliss family" characters are featured.

The video above is an example of the 1/9 portrait reels I uploaded to Parkside's Instagram. Each character got their own individual video posted online with a quote from their character, character description, and information on dates, times, and tickets for the show.

All portraits were photographed, edited, and uploaded by Hannah Mariani. Photo of Hannah Mariani as Sorel Bliss (top center) was taken by Julia Navarro

This trend follows the viral sound "ohhh, I wasn't sad, I just needed a holiday!"

Then there are visual cuts to show vegetables, singers, tea, and crackers being sold at the Summer Farmers Market in Schroon Lake, Upstate NY

Social media reel for Lighthouse Repertory Theatre Company's production of "Guys and Dolls."

This follows the Amy Poehler "summer in the city" trend, where people name what they are wearing and repeat it twice on beat with someone walking in the background. In this case, what is named is the costume details of the Mission (bonnet and a burgundy cape), Gamblers (fedora and a pocket square), and Hot Box Girls (poodle skirt and a little neck scarf).

Featuring Janely Montgomery, Alyssa Seminario, and Liz Spencer as the Mission, Glenn McKay, Chris Connor, and Mitchell Woodford as the Gamblers, and Polly Moore, Mackenzie Waite, and Amanda Luong as Hot Box Girls, with Joseph Bebry and Liz Spencer walking in the background

Social media reel for Lighthouse Repertory Theatre Company's production of "Guys and Dolls."

This video follows the viral audio trend of two people saying "luckily I have purse" and holding up a purse, then "I have purse, I have shoe, I have hat on head." But you can replace it with what you have. So what is pointed out is costumes from the show: purses, mink, fedoras, hats.

Following the trend of Person 1 being excited and exclaiming "I hope they play [popular artist's song]!" followed by Person 2 saying "um, this is [actual event that is being promoted]."

In this case, Person 1 is exclaiming "I hope she plays Love Story by Taylor Swift!"

And Person B says "This is Joe Iconis & Family at 54 Below." Followed by clips of the cabaret concert.

Produced and edited by Hannah Mariani. Person 2: @stage_whore on Instagram

Joe Iconis is a musical theatre composer and his "family" are his collaborators who perform his songs at his concerts. They often perform at 54 Below in NYC. This run of shows was for the July 30-Aug 3, 2024 run.

This is a parody based on the popular Tiktok meme "seeing the Disneyland castle for the first time since COVID" where the subject of the video breaks down and cries at the sight of the castle but instead of the Disney castle it is the Our Flag Means Death season two billboard in Times Square
